The Midnight Express Train is running!

Dear friends of IASF!

Registration for the 50th World Airline Ski Championships is open.

Below you will find all the invitation and the registration forms for download.
These are the same forms as you will find on www.wasc2009.com.

As well you will find the seeding lists for the racers that are needed at the Team Captains Meeting on Monday and a form to make your own notes during this meeting. Please don’t forget to fill in the racers Airline ID-Number!

We just like to point out again that all registration has to be via the Team Captain. No individual registration. There is no short cut on this.

If you are an individual and don't know your Team Captain or don't know if your Airline has already registered a team with IASF we will be pleased to help you.

As an option to arrive and leave Björkliden you will find the Midnight Express Train and an Escape Flight.

The Midnight Express Train runs from Stockholm Central Station conveniently in the evening to arrive right in the heart of Björkliden the next morning.
To get from ARN Airport to the Stockholm Central Station this is the way Mats Furskog recommends:

For those of You arriving at ARN in need of transportation to Stockholm Central Station should use the quick Arlanda Express train departing every 15 min's (journey takes 20 min's). It arrives at the Central Station next to the departure area of Bjorkliden trains and as an airline employee you can buy an "agent ticket" at 50% discount by producing an airline ID. The ticket must be bought at the ticket counter before embarking onto the train.

The Escape Flight again will be a special charter only for IASF to fly back home from Kiruna to Stockholm.

Flights to/from Kiruna and Narvik aren't plentiful and it may be hard to get there on Stby. So we highly recommend that you take advantage of these two options for an easy and convenient travel. Details you will find in the Invitation.

If you will arrive on a scheduled flight and need transportation from/to Kiruna and Narvik please contact: info@wasc2009.com
Be aware there is only one daily scheduled bus from Kiruna and none from Narvik.

If you look through this year’s schedule of the event you will find that the Opening Ceremony/Party is scheduled on Sunday evening already. This leaves us the Monday more relaxed. But it also makes it important to arrive on Sunday on time.

That’s it folks. Björkliden is far north. But it’s awesome there! We’ll have the whole mountain to celebrate our 50th anniversary. See every one of you there.

And always remember, ski fast and party hard,

Christian Burger
(President IASF)

All alpine and snowboard racers have to wear a helmet!
